A group of members of the Assembly Standing from Barcelona have interrupted the full City Council and have been evicted from the town hall by members of the Guardia Urbana. The events have taken place during the celebration full, when a group of unemployed who were in the stands, where he had many children who had come to visit the City Council have expressed their protest loudly.
Jordi Hereu then reminded the standing that "the plenary sessions are fully democratic and is not allowed public involvement," when members of the Assembly have taken to get Unemployed placards demanding a decent job and no more layoffs, while chanting slogans such as "work or benefits."
Urban Guard officers evicted the members of the Assembly of unemployed, who have continued their protest outside the main entrance of City Hall in Plaça Sant Jaume.
members of the Assembly Standing have justified their action to protest the lack of dialogue by the council, which after 2 years of presenting his platform still have not addressed their demands, such as: creating a Municipal Job, to address the situation of the unemployed who have no subsidy and establish a free public transport card meant for all the unemployed. Also, claiming that the City of Barcelona and the Generalitat prevent evictions of persons who are in this precarious situation and that between the two administrations, to assume the costs of basic supplies of electricity, water and gas.
