Per a free public transport treballadors pels / Atur is

For several months the ASSEMBLY OF UNEMPLOYED WORKERS IN BARCELONA, we launched a campaign aimed to get free transport workers are unemployed, collecting signatures every Monday at different offices of INEM and enlisting the support of councils, trade union branches, etc. .. Now, we believe it is time to give further impetus to this campaign. Therefore, we call on all committees business, trade union branches, social movements and individual title to be sent with the following statements:

ONE FREE FOR PUBLIC TRANSPORT WORKERS UNEMPLOYED
Attention Barcelona City Council, Metropolitan Transportation Authority and the Generalitat of Catalonia
We
120,000 workers who are currently unemployed in the city of Barcelona and we are not only affected by the economic crisis passed but we feel disenfranchised by the different administrations.
Specifically, the council Barcelona has not lifted a finger to implement measures to alleviate the situation of the unemployed in the city. From the mismanagement of Plan E, no transparent criteria applied (refusing to directly contact the City Council or not using job boards are open to all unemployed), or having been cleared no more than meitatdels projects scheduled, so little moving forward in steps (such as the elimination of overtime to utility) that can generate steady job.
Specifically one of the simple measures that the City could apply is that of a social credit for public transport, free for the unemployed and stops. In the big cities Europe is already used. Not only have much more variety of social credits for disabled workers who are in a precarious situation for the elderly and so on, but many of them free education for aturatdes and strikes is a fact.
is free in Brussels, Vienna, 60% discount in Turin from 33 to 87% discount. In Spain, cities such as Sevilla have a free subscription to the unemployed. The crisis has forced the implementation of this measure. In May, in Málaga, the company EMT begins to cast a free subscription for the unemployed. In Zaragoza, this December approving the payment of 90% of the cost of transport to the unemployed and long aturatdes duration. So the proposed "Free Transportation for Unemployed workers" is not of non-re, but there are examples in other cities that such a proposal is feasible. Initiatives such as the T-12, Linked to the age, we believe are appropriate for social criteria such as income or unemployed.
The urban transport free would be good for ecological balance and social justice. In our country we spend annually on average 6,000 euros in private tranportation, excluding acquisition costs, which is currently unaffordable for which we are now collecting unemployment benefits inadequate. On the other hand is shown to facilitate Accessible transport for the unemployed is an efficient tool for the job, since good access to mobility support for job search.
entities, unions, political organizations, neighborhood associations, which support the initiative signed by "Free public transport for workers in Paro" and urge the City of Barcelona, \u200b\u200bthe Metropolitan Transportation Authority and the Government to position and apply the transport gartuïtat this group. In particular, the Barcelona City Council has moved a finger to implement measures to alleviate the situation of unemployed in the city. From the mismanagement of Plan E, it applied the criteria of transparency (refusing to connect directly from the City or not using bags of work open to all unemployed) or not having made more effective in the projects meitatdels programmed to little desire to advance measures (such as deleting overtime to municipal utilities) that can generate steady job.
