Concha Jerez and José Iges, two of the most representative artists of the intermediate art scene, are the authors of the Inside-out facility. InterMedia installation in the temporary exhibition hall of the Museo del Ferrocarril de Asturias.
The project is produced by the Municipal Foundation of Culture, Education and Popular University and Research Center in Ladines Ladines Art Foundation, Sobrescobio, who heads the artist Cuco Suárez.
The facility employs major elements, image and sound that were collected during the field work of artists in the area Laviana, especially at the ninth hole gallery Carrio, and its surroundings.
Inside-out is the global title of the work because, in the words of the authors: "In the mine the conditions inside the outside, sometimes dramatically, and also because we have tried to reflect from the title that permanent trip back and forth between the outside world and inside the mine that has been marked from old miner's life. "
The book focuses, therefore, in the mining world in environments and testimonies collected in that geographic area, and especially the presence of mining facilities and what they represent, especially in its most human.
